  • How much exercise does an ALD need? Low to moderate. We walk our ALD at least one time per day for about 20 minutes in the morning. This walk helps get our exercise in as well as elimination needs.  If possible we also take a second walk in the evening. Any exercise you do with your dog will keep "doggie boredom" at bay.

  • Can I purchase a puppy from you if I am unable to drive and physically pick him/her up? We do not ship or fly our puppies. You will need to make arrangements to drive or fly into Norfolk Airport (ORF). We work very hard at developing our puppies trust not to alienate them on an airplane flight.

  • I live in a condo/apartment, is an ALD a good choice? Yes! A miniature or small medium would be a good fit for you. Potty training could be a little challenging at first if you do not have quick access to grass, or you could litterbox train if you desire.

  • How much are your puppies and what is the process? Please see PRICING and PROCESS under the puppies menu heading "Puppies."

  • Do I get to pick my puppy? Yes. You pick your puppy and selection is based on order of deposit received. We will conduct informal temperament testing and are happy to assist you with your choice. Breeder reserves first and second choice from each litter. You will be placed on the list for the specific litter which you are interested in, and your place will be based on the order in which your deposit is received. IF however, you opt NOT to pick a puppy from the litter you first placed your deposit with, your NEW deposit date will be the date in which you chose to PASS on a litter.

Your puppy will be going home with a commercially prepared "all stages" raw freeze-dried food made by Stella and Chewy  (just add water) which will be easy for you to give to your puppy along with a high quality kibble if you do not wish to continue feeding the freeze-dried raw.

  • What vaccinations and medications will my puppy be given prior to coming home? We vaccinate at week 8 with single dose Parvo and Distemper.
